There's Still Time to Sign Up for Summer Reading!

Paws to Read

Did you know the Library's Paws to Read Summer Reading Programs run through Sat., Jul. 26? Sign up today to join the fun of reading and earning prizes along the way! Our summer reading programs are for all ages -- from birth to kids, and teens to adults! Stop by the Summer Reading table in the Youth Services department for more information and to sign up your children through grade 8. And stop by the desk in Adult Services to sign up yourself or your children in grades 7-12. Our children's summer reading program participants will get to spin our new prize wheel for each three hours that they spend reading, and kids who finish the program will earn a free book to keep and an invitation to the Summer Reading Finale Party. It doesn't get more fun than that!

We want to hear from YOU!

megaphone

As the library’s fiscal year draws to a close, the Board of Trustees has started working on the Library’s strategic plan. To make this library great for the community, we know that we need to hear what the community thinks.

Which is why, I am asking you to take this short survey to let us know what you think is important, and what you think we should be focusing on. I hope to hear from you and can’t wait to work with our board to make this library even better for the residents we serve.

Thank you for your time and your comments!

Third Frozen Party Added to Youth Program Calendar

Due to popular demand, we have added a third Frozen Party from 2-2:45 pm on Fri., Jul. 25. Kids may only attend one Frozen Party so that others may have the opportunity to attend. Registration is required and will begin Jul. 11. We had to change the date of the original Frozen Party that was scheduled for July 11 due to the Village's Concert in the Commons, which requires the Library to close early. We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused.

Just 4 U Cafe has Ribbon Cutting

The Just 4 U Cafe had their official ribbon cutting last week. Open since the end of March, the Just 4 U Cafe has a variety of hot and cold drinks, soup and sandwiches and snacks and desserts for library users and members of the community. Located in the lobby of the library, they are open Monday-Thursday from 10am-6pm and Friday and Saturday from 10am-3pm.
