Study Rooms & Exam Proctoring

Quiet Spaces

You may reserve an upstairs study room or the downstairs Conference Room up to two hours a day at no charge. You will need a photo I.D. to request a study room. Rooms may only be used for non-commercial use. For more study room policies, please see page 41 of our General Policy.

Room reservations may be made up to one week in advance. If a reservation is not made, study rooms are first-come, first-serve. Reserving our large Meeting Room is a separate process.

Conference Room

To reserve the Conference Room downstairs in the lobby, please contact Adult & Teen Services by calling 815-485-2605 ext. 400 or Patron Services at ext. 300. You can also reserve a room at either service desk when you're visiting the Library.

Study Rooms

We offer four study rooms in Adult & Teen Services. To reserve a room upstairs, please contact Adult & Teen Services by calling 815-485-2605 ext. 400. You can also reserve a room at the Adult & Teen Services desk when you're visiting the Library.

Desks, Tables & Quiet Area

Study carrels and tables are also available. The Fiction section in Adult & Teen Services has a designated Quiet Area with carrels against the back windows.

Exam Proctoring

Due to patron demand for extended hours and additional programs and services offered, we no longer provide proctoring services. Please contact your school or institution for other options, such as remote proctoring.

Extended time in a study room may be available; please contact Adult & Teen Services at 815-485-2605 ext. 400 up to a week in advance. We will try our best to accommodate you.

Tutoring

New Lenox Library does not provide tutoring, though tutors are more than welcome to meet their students at the library! Please be aware that study rooms may only be used for non-commercial use. For more study room policies, please see page 41 of our General Policy.
