Programs for Grades 4-8

The Year of the Dog
Cirque du Freak: A Living Nightmare

Did you know the Library offers several programs just for kids in grades 4-8? We currently have spaces available for the following programs this month: The Scene Remix (Thursday, February 13, from 4:30-5:30 pm), Girls Rock Book Club (Tuesday, February 18, from 6:30-7:30 pm), and Guys Read (Friday, February 21, from 4:30-5:30 pm).

In the Scene Remix, we'll be playing Wii Sports on the big screen! Join us for video games and snacks.

In Girls Rock Book Club, the girls will be discussing the book The Year of the Dog, by Grace Lin. Ask for the book at the Circulation desk and come prepared to discuss it while you make funky crafts and have fun with other girls.

In Guys Read, the guys will be discussing Cirque du Freak: A Living Nightmare, by Darren Shan. Ask for the book at the Circulation desk and come prepared to chat about the book or the series, do an activity, and hang out with other guys. Registration is required and spaces are still available for these programs.

Save Money and Help the Food Pantry

Food for Fines

Food for Fines is coming! The library has added a second Food for Fines which usually happens during the summer. This year, we will be holding two, one from February 10-15 and one during the summer. If you bring in a non-perishable food item from February 10-15, we will waive up to $15.00 in late fees from your card. So, if you have been waiting to pay off those fees or have an item that is very overdue, bring in food to get the slate wiped clean.
