Welcome! Adult Services is located on the second floor of the New Lenox Public Library. We provide reference, research, and reader's advisory services, as well as assistance with the 22 computers available in our Technology Center. We also are happy to help you maneuver the web or any of our valuable online resources available to you as a New Lenox Library cardholder from our research page.

Positive Employment Outlooks

The Positive Employment Outlooks Club is designed for people who are currently working or are in other stages of their work life. Job and Career Coach Tim Nelson will lead the group, emphasizing on encouragement for getting through challenges and seeing work situations from new perspectives. Through education and exchange of ideas and tips, this group will work to help you improve your work environment. Those in all types of employment are welcome. This group will be taking a break for the summer months and starting up again in the Fall!

Senior Freeze Assistance Day

If you are a Senior Citizen living in Will County, the Supervisor of Assessments Office will be at the library to help you to fill out the Senior Freeze Forms. Remember to bring your 2012 Federal Income Taxes and your most current Tax Bill. Patrons are taken on a walk-in, first come first serve basis.

Massive Movie Poster Display

William Brandeis, a film buff and movie art enthusiast, will be exhibiting his movie poster collection! Display will be throughout the library and will include posters for all genres of feature films. Brandeis will be on premises to answer any questions about his collection. Thinking Mom’s Revolution Book Signing

Lisa Goes of the website Thinking Mom's Revolution has written a book called "Thinking Mom's Revolution: Autism Beyond the Spectrum." The book is a collection of TMR’s stories of healing and hope as they fight to recover their children from autism and related disorders. Hear Lisa speak about the book, their individual experiences and learn how their determination and friendships have become a daily motivation for parents worldwide. Please note: Ms. Goes is participating in the filming of a documentary about the group. This presentation will be filmed, so waivers must be signed by all attendees.

Medicine Cabinet Makeover

New Lenox Public Library District currently provides meeting room space and obtains books for three book clubs. These clubs are member-run and generally meet once a month.
